A first draft in the template
Each slide goes into the template's title style, colours, fonts and slide size, each keeping its own layout. Your wording, numbers and slide order are not rewritten, and the old deck's logos and footers are left out. You review and finish it in PowerPoint.
Charts with numbers, rebuilt
PowerPoint charts and tables come across as real, editable ones with their data. A chart that is only a picture becomes an editable chart when its numbers are printed on it and every one checks out against the picture; otherwise it is kept as a picture.
Pictures rebuilt only if you choose
Slides that are only pictures are kept as pictures unless you choose to rebuild them (beta). A separate text reader checks each rebuilt slide's words, and the review page points to anything that may be missing. Blurry or low-quality pictures give back less: what can't be read clearly remains part of the picture.
Rebuilding chart pictures and picture slides uses AI. Tick "Don't use AI on this deck" and they are kept as pictures.

Common questions
How is this different from alignment add-ins or AI deck generators?
Alignment add-ins help you fix layout by hand, slide by slide, inside PowerPoint. AI deck generators write a new deck from notes or a prompt. PurposefulDeck does neither: it takes the deck you already have, keeps its wording, numbers and slide count, and places it into your client's template or your brand. The result is still a PowerPoint file, so you can finish it with the tools you already use.
Is everything editable?
No. Rebuilt text and shapes can be edited in PowerPoint. Some charts, drawings, photos or entire slides may remain pictures. Slides placed as pictures are identified for review. A picture inside a PowerPoint file does not make its text or data editable unless you choose the beta rebuild for slides that are pictures.
What does one credit cover?
One credit covers one deck of up to 30 slides. A 31–60-slide deck uses two credits, 61–90 uses three, and 91–120 uses four. The cost is shown before you start.
What happens if conversion fails?
The reserved credits return to your account. A delivered deck uses its credits even if it has slides marked for review. If a delivered result is unusable, contact us within 14 days with the file name; we review it and, if we agree, return the conversion credits.
Built by a presentation designer
PurposefulDeck is made by Vinith John, who spent nine years in McKinsey & Company's Visual Graphics and Media team and has designed consulting, finance, healthcare and tech decks for over 18 years. It does the slow part of moving a deck into a new template, so you can spend your time on the slides that need a designer's eye.
How your decks are handled
Slides are placed by fixed rules, not AI (AI reads only the parts our privacy policy lists, such as chart pictures, and nothing when you tick “Don't use AI on this deck”), and we don't use your files to train AI. No one at PurposefulDeck opens your deck unless you ask for a check by a person, which only the founder does. Files are stored encrypted on Google Cloud, deleted 30 days after conversion, and you can delete them sooner from your dashboard.
