Open source we use
PurposefulDeck is built on well-known open-source software, almost all under permissive licences such as MIT, BSD and Apache. It all runs on our own servers on Google Cloud. None of it sends your files anywhere except the providers named in our Privacy policy.

Notes on licences
- LibreOffice, librsvg and libvips run unmodified on our own servers as separate programs or libraries. Their licences (MPL-2.0, LGPL) cover changes to their own code; they place no conditions on your files or on our code.
- Browser-support data in caniuse-lite is © Alexis Deveria and contributors, used under CC-BY-4.0.
- We do not use GPL or AGPL libraries in the engine. That is why PDF pages are drawn with PDFium rather than PyMuPDF or poppler.
Every package, with its version and licence
The list above is the main software. The full list has all 255 packages the website and the conversion engine install, including the ones they depend on. It is checked before every release: a package with a licence we do not accept cannot be added. Last checked 2026-11-03.
