Which charts and tables come across as editable?

PowerPoint charts and tables, and some chart pictures with their numbers printed.

No. Rebuilt text and shapes can be edited in PowerPoint. Some charts, drawings, photos or entire slides may remain pictures. Slides placed as pictures are identified for review. A picture inside a PowerPoint file does not make its text or data editable unless you choose the beta rebuild for slides that are pictures.

Charts and tables in a PowerPoint file are copied as real, editable PowerPoint charts and tables when supported. Grouped objects and PDF content may be rebuilt or kept as pictures. Check numbers, charts and dense slides before sending. From pictures, some clustered column, stacked and 100% stacked column, horizontal bar (plain, stacked or 100% stacked), pie, donut and line charts can become PowerPoint charts. Their values must be printed and pass checks against the bars, slices or points. When a stacked column chart's picture also holds totals, logos or a summary row, the chart is laid over the picture and the rest stays as it was. Unsupported or unverified charts remain pictures. Check every rebuilt chart against the original before using it.
